To apply for the Careers in Manufacturing Program (CMP), please contact us to find out when the next orientation is scheduled. At orientation, you will hear more details about the program, tour the training facility, and take a math test and a reading test.
After you attend an orientation meeting, you may be invited back for an interview. At that time, you will be asked to provide information about your income and may need to complete a manual dexterity test. Then we will let you know if you've been accepted into the program.
Candidate Eligibility
To apply for and participate in the CMP training program, you must fit the following criteria:
- Able to read at a sixth grade level (most newspapers and magazines)
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
- Drug-free for the past six months
- No felony convictions for sex offenses
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Don't mind getting your hands dirty
- Low-income (use the Link card, homeless, or have income below a certain level for your household size)
