The JARC Manufacturing Skills Program (MSP) provides work-related technical training and literacy to employees of manufacturers throughout the Chicago area. We conduct job training sessions at our offices or on-site at area companies as well.
Our Technical Training Center offers 3,500 square feet of space to train students on machine tools, punch presses and related equipment, quality control, blueprint reading and forklift safety.
Workplace safety is a critical and ongoing component of any manufacturer. OSHA requires every employee working in a hazardous environment receive safety training. JARC is proud to announce a new affiliation with the National Safety Education Center as a Region V OSHA Training Institute Education Center host site. See our current flyer here.
 JARC's Open Enrollment classes offer training in Forklift Safety and Operation, Welding, CNC Operation, and other manufacturing-related subjects. These classes are held at on Saturdays at JARC's Technical Training Center and are open to incumbent workers and members of the public. See our current flyer here.
We also offer a Metalworking Skills Assessment that companies can use to assess the skills of job applicants and incumbent workers. In addition, we are happy to assist employers with filling their entry-level job openings by matching them up with qualified candidates who have graduated from our Careers in Manufacturing Program.
