Since 1991, the Manufacturing Skills Program has provided industry with work-related vocational training that enables low-skilled production workers to improve their basic technical and literacy skills. The program has a dual goal: improving workers' job security, ability to advance and income potential; and enabling companies to be more efficient and productive. Over 900 workers from 100 companies have taken classes since the program started.
The classes are held both at the client's site and at our Technical Training Center for the Metalworking Trades. The classes are taught by tradespeople with production experience. Instructors can teach classes in English, Spanish and some Eastern European languages.
JARC recognizes that the metalworking industry's competitiveness depends on the quality and skills of its workforce. We provide high-quality, customized training in your employees' native language to maximize learning, and use your company's blueprints and machines whenever possible to ensure that your employees' new skills have an immediate impact.
Please see the general descriptions of the classes and seminars we offer. When you register your employees for training, we will discuss how we can customize it to fit your company's needs.
