Every spring, we partner with The Center for Economic Progress and local volunteers to provide free tax services to qualified applicants, including filling out tax forms. This year, our Tax Blast is only available for applicants who intend to file for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
ITINs permit immigrants to pay taxes, legitimizing economic activity in a variety of ways. Receiving an ITIN opens up doors of opportunity for immigrants, paving the way not only for normalized taxes but also for bank accounts and access to some forms of credit.
The next JARC Tax Blast will occur on Saturday, April 10 from 10 AM - 2 PM.
